Description:
The class will be held in-person at Idaho Power’s CHQ Auditorium, or you may elect to join virtually. A link will be provided for all registrants and in-person attendees will receive a parking pass for the day.
In this interactive course, we will refresh your knowledge of AC induction motors and give you a taste of what is new on the motors market, including switched reluctance and advanced DC motors. We’ll also review key strategies for maximizing the reliability of motor applications when there are Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) used in your facility.
Bio:
Ronald Wroblewski
Ronald Wroblewski holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in mechanical engineering, and has 35 years of experience designing, analyzing, troubleshooting and optimizing fan, pump and blower systems. He is the lead motor systems and VFD trainer for the US Department of Energy’s (DOE) Better Plants program and has taught fan and motor systems optimization courses across the US and internationally.
