| Description: | Mike Hatten, Principal of Solarc Architecture and Engineering and Kevin Van Den Wymelenberg, Director of the University of Idaho Integrated Design Lab will present on their recent research into pursuing aggressive energy savings in existing buildings through renovation and systems integration. The presentation will overview the challenges of pursuing deep energy savings in existing buildings as well as detail several key strategies necessary to achieve these savings. It will conclude by sharing examples of real buildings that have undergone energy renovations as well as lessons learned from completed projects and projects in planning stages. |
