Wind Square
How to read the wind square
Each cell is one month (columns, January→December) at one time of day (rows). The cell colour is the average wind speed for that month-and-hour; the arrow points in the direction the wind most often blows from, and the arrow's length grows with how dominant that direction is. Hover a cell for its exact numbers.
Where the wind rose answers “how often, and from where?”, the wind square answers “when?” — it exposes daily and seasonal rhythm. Read it alongside the bioclimatic chart: when the chart shows hours above the comfort zone, the square tells you whether a usable breeze is available then, and from which side of the building to open it up.
