Description:

During this session, program managers for NEEA’s BetterBricks and Strategic Energy Management (SEM) programs will provide insight into the commercial building case studies, white papers, and other resources available on betterbricks.com. The session will also include an overview and live demonstration of the alliance’s Energy Management Assessment tool and insight into upcoming plans for its use in the market.


Bio:

Suzi Asmus, NNEA, Program Manager, Integrated Systems

Suzi Asmus is an experienced energy project manager who has been responsible for managing NEEA's market transformation efforts for Residential HVAC in the Northwest region since 2015. Previously, she was responsible for the greenfield development of wind-powered generation projects in Oregon, Washington, and British Columbia. She studied International Environmental Policy and Foreign Language Teaching at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Cincinnati. In her spare time, she enjoys cycling around Portland, reading, traveling, and enjoying Portland food and beer.

Josh Pellham, NEEA, Market Channel Manager, Building Professionals and Trades

Josh Pelham has spent the last decade of his career working to transform markets and accelerate the adoption of energy efficiency at the Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance. After working on numerous efficiency programs across all sectors—from residential to agriculture—Josh currently serves as the Market Channel Manager of Building Professionals and Trades, which includes leading the alliance’s BetterBricks program. Josh studied business at Eastern Oregon University, earning a bachelor’s in business administration with concentrations in leadership, organization, management, and marketing. Shortly after, Josh returned to EOU to earn an MBA and briefly taught a Principles of Marketing course. As often as time allows, Josh is operating various side businesses or enjoying the outdoors, preferably with a fishing rod in hand.

Stephen O'Guin, NEEA, Program Coordinator

Stephen O’Guin has been the Program Coordinator for the Residential and Commercial HVAC programs at NEEA since 2020. In this role, Stephen supports cross-functional program teams by coordinating, tracking, implementing and reporting on program activities. Prior to joining NEEA, Stephen was a home performance estimator with Green Energy Solutions, Inc., meeting with clients to provide envelope, insulation, window, and duct work upgrades for both residential and commercial buildings. Stephen holds a B.A. in Economics and Environmental Studies from Huxley College of the Environment at Western Washington University and is an Eagle Scout. In his free time, he enjoys a variety of activities including playing music, woodworking, SCUBA diving, cooking, hiking, cycling, and most anything outdoors.
